This will undoubtedly be an attention-grabber in terms of gimmicks. To make your smartphone perform what you want, you won't need to use your hands or fingers. There will be no voice control, but there will be something much better. You'll only need your face. That concludes our discussion.
Because of its Android software, Google is probably one of the most powerful competitors in the smartphone market, and it is looking to maintain its supremacy. According to ANI, Google is working on a new accessibility feature that would allow users to manage their devices only through their facial expressions. This will be especially beneficial to people with disabilities.
Earlier versions of Android offered a feature called ‘Voice Access,' which allowed users to operate their phones with voice commands. Over time, it has evolved into a highly polished and useful function that is no longer just a gimmick. However, it appears that Google is taking this feature one step further with Android 12 and making our devices easier to operate than ever before.
According to XDADevelopers, the Android Accessibility Suite app's 'Camera Switches function,' which is one of the accessibility services, will support assigning gestures to certain buttons.
The software will purportedly incorporate movements like as smiling, opening the mouth, and gazing right, left, or down.
Getting to the homepage, scrolling backward and forward, and selecting are some of the camera actions. Users will be able to customise the gesture size and length in the app.
The new functionality, according to The Verge, will demand that the device's camera be turned on, and Android 12-enabled devices will display a standing bar showing that the camera is being utilised.
According to reports, the feature will require an additional battery. It is presently under alpha testing. – New Delhi's Hindustan Times/Tribune News Service
